Woodland Pork

Our pigs have plenty of room to play and root in their natural habitat - the woods!

✔ Free Roaming *Our pigs live in the woods, like a wide expanse of acres of woods. They're unconfined and can root and forage as they please.
Corn & Soy Free *In addition to the nuts and roots and other foraged foods they find solo, the pigs are fed lots of skim milk and a corn & soy free feed. The feed contains a blend of peas, fish meal, seashell flour, alfalfa meal, wheat middlings, kelp, probiotics, vitamins, and minerals.
Heritage Breeds *Berkshire, Duroc, Red Waddle, and Black crosses
Washed in Organic Apple Cider Vinegar *The USDA requires that the outside of beef and pork carcasses are sprayed with an antimicrobial agent during the hanging and aging process. This is to prevent the spread of potentially harmful pathogens. A grand majority of processors use harsh chemicals like chlorine or citric/lactic acids. Instead, we partner with a processor that uses organic apple cider vinegar. We do this to produce the most natural food possible, reducing the amount of toxins for everyone and everything.
Aged for 2-6 Days *This is standard practice when processing pork. Aging improves tenderness, flavor, and juiciness as natural enzymes break down muscle proteins.
Chemical, Drug, and GMO Free *Our farmers do things naturally. They don't use chemical fertilizers. Animals don't receive antibiotics, hormones, steroids, vaccines, or anything like that. And everything is GMO free. The only exception is that, when a farmer buys new large animals like pork, beef, and dairy cows, they may have received a vaccine before they got them.
Frozen When Very Fresh *Packed in vacuum sealed packs. The is the best way for a small farm to consistently supply you with meat and have zero food waste.
