Want to Know More?

You're not alone!

Are the laying hens vaccinated?
Nope. They're not vaccinated at all
Are the eggs washed? What are they washed in?
Our eggs are washed in water and only water. Why? In Europe, vaccines for chickens are mandatory but egg washing is not. That's why European eggs are NOT found in the refrigerated section of supermarkets. In the United States, vaccines are optional but egg washing is mandatory. Since washing removes the protective bloom on the egg (making the shells permeable and more susceptible to spoiling), that's why American eggs are refrigerated. Many farms use soaps or chemicals to wash their eggs. We use only water.
