Macadamia nuts should last about 3 months at room temp, stored in a dark dry place (like a cabinet or drawer). They can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer for up to 6 months. But, of course, once the bag is opened there are so many variables that can affect shelf life (temperature, moisture or contaminants getting in, etc).

Macadamia nuts are delicious on their own, and keeping them in their raw state preserves max health benefits. They're also a favorite with cooks because of their many and varied uses. They add crunch, texture, and earthy notes to both sweet and savory dishes. Simply tossing a handful of them into your salad, stir fry, cookie batter, or smoothie can elevate a normal recipe to gourmet. And, if you desire, you can salt and season and roast them.

Our macadamia nuts are different than any old macadamia nut in the store. This is because of the extreme care in processing them so their raw health benefits are maintained:
1. Our nuts are harvested 2x per month for the freshest nuts possible.
2. After harvesting, the nuts are lightly dried in the shell.
3. The shells are cracked open and the creamy kernel is separated from the hard shell.
4. The kernel is dehydrated low and slow at 107 degrees for 7 days to preserve the crucial enzymes, raw fats, and flavors.
5. They're put in bags.
