Bone Broth Hot Cocoa

March 4, 2025 • 0 comments

I don’t know many kiddos or adults who don’t enjoy a cozy cup of hot cocoa. However, most hot cocoas you purchase at the store or make at home can cause a blood sugar spike and leave you craving more sugar. Luckily, with some healthy collagen and animal fats this bone broth hot cocoa will nourish your body from the inside out. And no– you don’t taste the bone broth!! It’s just a nourishing addition that gets masked by the other ingredients.

Ingredients

Directions

Preparation:

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, add your bone broth, milk, date, and cocoa powder.
  • Bring to a simmer, whisking often (making sure not to scorch the milk).
  • Once warmed to your liking, remove from the heat.
  • Pour into a blender with the remainder of the ingredients and blend until smooth.

Top with your favorite toppings (we love homemade marshmallows and whipped cream!)
