It’s less than a month until Thanksgiving, and that means it’s time to start sending our turkeys to the processor!

Here are some quick notes about our turkeys:

  1. The turkeys are pasture raised on our farm. They are a white breed. They are moved to fresh pasture often and are fed a soy-free feed.
  2. The turkeys did really well this year and are larger than anticipated. We will have turkeys ranging from 7-15lb.
  3. The farmer will start sending the smaller turkeys first. So, if you’d like a smaller turkey for Thanksgiving, I recommend ordering sooner rather than later.
  4. Turkeys will be on demand. That means you order one on the regular order schedule. You can order a turkey by itself or receive it with your regular order.
  5. Turkeys will be delivered fresh. You can, of course, freeze it when you receive it.
  6. Giblets are included! Last year, they weren’t. We are happy to be including giblets this year, because who doesn’t love a nutrient-dense and deep-flavored gravy?
  7. Turkeys will start coming in stock at the end of next week.
